Developmental Driver Marc Mitchell to Pilot the
No. 11 Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc. Chevy
at Milwaukee
Mooresville, NC (June 18, 2007) GPg PR – CJM Racing is proud to announce the signing of developmental driver Marc Mitchell for the upcoming AT&T 250 at the Milwaukee Mile. Mitchell, an up-and-coming driver in the racing ranks, will fill-in for veteran driver Jason Keller and assist the team in building on the solid foundation developed around Keller.
Marc Mitchell is no stranger to racing as he has spent the last seven years honing his skills to become a competitive force within the stock car ranks. Mitchell became enamored with racing from the time he sat in his first legends car. His thirst for racing never subsided and he went on to win the Legends Car Winter National Championship in 2000. The desire to win never faltered and Mitchell became the Legends Car World Finals champion the following year.
Since then, Mitchell has competed in late model stock events (garnering four wins), select ASA events, two NASCAR Nationwide Series events, won three legends car events and has accumulated one top-5 and two top-10 finishes running a limited ARCA RE/MAX program this year.
“There is no better team for me to align myself with than CJM Racing. From top to bottom they are intently focused on running up front and winning races. It has shown in their finishes this year. I am just honored for the opportunity to step into such a competitive car,” said the 23-year-old Mitchell.
CJM Racing entered the NASCAR Nationwide Series just a few short months ago and has turned heads with their productive finishes. The team has competed in three events and has accumulated three top-15 and one top-10 finish. With Keller scheduled to run in the No. 27 Brewco Motorsports entry at Milwaukee, the team enlisted developmental driver Marc Mitchell to pilot the No. 11 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
“There is no doubt that Marc (Mitchell) will be a great fit for our organization heading into Milwaukee. He has displayed some great driving skills and I believe he can run a competitive race for the CJM Racing team,” remarked Greg Pollex, Director of Motorsports for CJM Racing.
Driver Marc Mitchell and the No. 11 Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc. Chevrolet take to the track Saturday, June 23rd at the famed Milwaukee Mile. Race coverage begins 8:30 PM EST on ESPN2.
