WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE
CAMPING
WORLD 200 NASCAR BUSCH SERIES
RACE AT NEW HAMPSHIRE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
JUNE 30, 2007.
Jason Keller was the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race in today’s Camping World 200. Keller led once for five laps and captured WIX Filters Lap Leader honors for the first time this season. Keller has now led twice in two races for a total of six laps while running a limited schedule this season.
Keller is the fifth different driver to earn the award in the last five races.
In 408 career Nationwide Series starts, Keller has now led 2,022 total laps (1,062 on superspeedways).
Keller was credited with a 26th-place finish in today’s race.
Mike Wallace leads Jason Leffler by one race (4-3) in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader Standings.
KELLER QUOTES:
“We tried to get strategy but I don’t know what happened on the right front there. We battled all day. It’s nice to win awards. It’s nice for companies like WIX to put those awards up and try to go after it.”
HOW REWARDING WAS IT TO RUN UP FRONT WITH A NEW TEAM?
“The biggest thing is I want to come back in a competitive situation and unfortunately we had to battle some things not of our doing today and put us out of a good finish. But I felt like periodically, at times during the race we were definitely competitive.”
