Phoenix Pre-Race Report

JASON KELLER/ CARFAX TEAM FAST FACTS:

• The CJM Racing team will make their seventh NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race attempt this weekend at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) after having a four week break away from the on-track action
• Carfax will be highlighted as the primary sponsor of the No. 11 machine this weekend and as an associate sponsor for the remaining events in 2007 season
• Veteran driver Jason Keller will be making his 412th career start this weekend, just five races shy of tying record holder Tommy Houston (417)
• Keller is the all-time leader for the most races started at MIS. He will be making his 13th attempt this weekend
• Keller has completed 97.7% of the laps at MIS, 1304 out of 1335
• Keller broke the $11 million mark in the last race he entered at O’Reilly Raceway Park. He is the first NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) driver to accomplish this feat
• The No. 11 Carfax team will be running chassis # 01 at Michigan; # 01 was last run at Dover International Speedway where the team posted a 13th place finish

JASON KELLER ON MICHIGAN INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY:

“Michigan is a great track for passing and it’s a track that allows you to move around a bit and pick which groove works best for your race car. There are three lines there and at the start of the day you may start on top and by the day’s end find more speed on the bottom of the track. Since it is a lot easier to maneuver around the track and these cars are all competitive, I think pit strategy will come into play. Fuel mileage and tires may become the determining factor.”

JASON KELLER ON HAVING SOME TIME AWAY FROM THE TRACK:

“Well I’ve been out of the No. 11 car for 4 weeks now so I’m eager to get back behind the wheel and get the program back on track. The time away did not go wasted though because it gave the guys an opportunity to work on our cars and put some time into our aero packages. They have spent many hours over the last few weeks in the wind tunnel and chassis dyno so I’m excited to see what they’ve learned and how much our performance improves.”
